Zea Proukou's Commitment to Community and Education
At Zea Proukou, our dedication to justice extends beyond the courtroom. We are proud to participate in the Triangle Shirtwaist Factory Fire Memorial Scholarship, a program that honors the memory of the 146 workers who tragically lost their lives in the 1911 fire—a pivotal event that led to significant labor reforms and the establishment of workers' compensation laws in New York State.
Supporting the Next Generation
The Triangle Shirtwaist Factory Fire Memorial Scholarship provides financial assistance in the form of college scholarships to qualifying injured workers who have become permanently disabled as a result of work injuries, as well as the children of workers who have been killed or permanently disabled due to workplace accidents. By contributing to this scholarship, we aim to support these students in their pursuit of higher education, helping to alleviate the financial burdens that can accompany such tragedies.
