We’re seeing elves with more frequency here at Zea Proukou Central – of course, these elves wear UPS and FedEx uniforms on this final leg of the Amazon-to-Christmas Tree pipeline – and this reminds us to pause and reflect for a moment on the blessings brought by 2018. We remain extremely grateful of our clients; yet it is not lost upon us that a work-injury creates personal and financial challenges that make the Holidays more stressful. And while many of you are past the extreme difficulties brought by an injury, there are still others in the thick of it, and of this we are keenly aware. As we approach the end of 2018, we start this Holiday season with a renewed and fortified commitment to each and every one of you to get you past the legal challenges brought on by a work-place injury or disability in a compassionate and understanding way. Because you matter.

Our year started by welcoming Lilah Proukou, the Zea Proukou family’s newest and cutest addition, and nearly a year later, we can report that Lilah is an engaging and beautiful baby showing early signs that she may follow in her mother’s footsteps. You see, she’s already getting written-up for unruly behavior at daycare – a sign of a strong, take-no-nonsense woman — which means that in the next generation, our clients shall remain in good hands! And on that note, we are proud to report that this year Randi was bestowed with two distinct honors. In June, Randi was recognized with an Up and Coming Attorney, Excellence in Law Award by The Daily Record. As an encore, in November Randi was named as one of Rochester’s Forty Under 40 by The Rochester Business Journal. Shall we add that Randi was also written up in daycare for unruly behavior as a child? The present and future look bright and we heartily congratulate Randi on her well-deserved accomplishments.

This year marked our fourth anniversary, so of course, we celebrate by looking to give back. In the fall, we started monthly giveaways available to anyone who completes the entry form, including tickets to local events and really anything that strikes us as something our clients’ families would enjoy and appreciate. Keep checking in with the Zea Proukou Facebook Page for what is next. In what has become a yearly tradition, we enjoyed a mystery dinner benefiting the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children in the spring, participated in the JP Morgan Corporate Challenge and Push Yourself 5Ks, sponsored the Monroe County Bar Association Jazz for Justice event, and put to good use the UPS and FedEx elves by purchasing gifts and sending them to our local Ronald McDonald House. And as we look ahead, we constantly look for ways to become more involved; it truly is among the most rewarding things we do.

Lastly, we are grateful that we come to the office each day and work alongside good friends in a concerted effort to help people. It really is that simple. From our family to yours, we wish you health and happiness this Holiday Season and a wonderful 2019.
